Love without Free Will?
Free will, does it exist? If so, how does it make sense if God knows everything that will take place?
People often ask “if God knows everything, past, present and future doesn’t that mean free will is non-existent?”. Are we all pre-programmed? I personally don’t believe so and hopefully my explanation into this subject will shed some light on free will and how God allows us to make decisions in our daily life.
Was Jesus just a man?
Jesus Christ; was he nothing more than a lunatic? Perhaps he had a mental illness? Some believe he was outright delusional, an imposter. This should not be a shock to anyone. If someone today claimed to be God then you would assume the very same thing. But wait. Why do so many people profess to believe in him? Is there something unique about this man that has so many believing?
Will the real Christian please stand up!
To whom it may concern,
What are you doing? Really ask yourself! What are you doing with your life? You believe in Jesus Christ yet you live like He never existed. You call upon His name when in trouble. Easy to forget Him when you’re content. You shout to the world that you love and adore Him. Yet you’re never to be found when He is calling you. You run to the world when it wants you but when the Man that was beaten down, lashed and died for your sake calls your name you run the opposite direction.
Matter of believing – Genesis, Jesus & the Prophets
Does the book of Genesis have any significance? A lot of people believe it doesn’t. To many the book of Genesis is simply a collection of stories. To a few however the book of Genesis is literal history. I believe the book of Genesis is more than just a simple collection of stories. It is the seed to the rest of the Bible. Without it the Word of God becomes questionable. No one would understand the purpose of Christ and the ultimate plan of salvation.
The first sermon of Jesus
The Beatitudes
The Jews were expecting Christ to reveal that He is the promised Messiah. The King that would rule. Reveal that they were the chosen people of God, the greatest amongst the inhabitants of the Earth. They surely believed they would be set free from the Roman Empire. But when Jesus uttered the following words out of His mouth “Blessed are the ..” the Jews opened their mouths in shock. It was not what they expected at all.
So what was Jesus trying to do? Was he trying to destroy their demeanour? Absolutely not! In fact He was displaying the characteristics of the Christian walk.
Do you love me? – Jesus
Dear Diary,
Today, I went to a beach not too far from home. I was walking alongside the crystal clear waters. The atmosphere was amazing. The sun was about to set. I happened to come across a bed rock where I could look out to the sea. Ah the sound of the waves really gets to me, I love it. I sat by the edge, glancing, as usual I am mesmerised by the work of His hand.
The love of a King
There was a woman in the Gospel of John. Despite her sins and the image given to her from the world, she was still loved by our Lord Jesus Christ. In the same way, today, as children of God we are loved with a love that cannot be fathomed.
Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD!
Before we begin lets start off with an interesting fact that many of you probably do not know!
Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
The word “God” in Genesis 1:1 is plural. See the below:
- “God = 0430 ‘elohiym {el-o-heem’} in STRONGS Concordance.
Elohim = “Gods” which means more than one being! From this we now know that the word “God” means there is more than one individual in the Godhead. In this context, we now understand that the plural word “God” or “Elohim” in hebrew is referring to the three distinct persons; The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
A matter of believing – Creation
Should Christians believe in the creation account of Genesis? Literally or metaphorically? This is a very controversial topic amongst Christians today. Ultimately if we believe in God and His divinity then why is creation so hard to grasp?
